Emergency Cost Pressures in the Ministry of Justice

This initiative provides for:
- maintaining the current service levels against forecast increases in workload in the criminal Courts in
Auckland, through the appointment of two additional District Court Judges and eight Community
Magistrates;
- 30 to35 additional Court Security Officers and the associated scanning equipment to improve safety for
all Court users in New Zealand Court buildings.
